Businesses know they have major skills deficits, but less than half plan on hiring more women

Only four-in-ten businesses have formal programs to hire more women, despite a broad consensus among IT professionals that the sector lacks diversity.

Nearly half of female respondents attribute their underrepresentation in tech roles to the predominance of male role models and leaders.

42% of women noted pay inequality as an issue, while only 15% of men acknowledged this disparity, highlighting a significant gender gap in recognition.

Julia Kanouse stated, 'More needs to be done to increase the representation of women in the IT sector... it will also create a more inclusive environment.'
