Peter Nygard, the former fashion mogul, has been sentenced to 11 years in prison for multiple counts of sexual assault, with his sentencing delayed due to legal team changes.
The case featured convictions from a trial in which women described how Nygard, using his wealth and influence, lured them for assault, with ages ranging from 16 to late 20s.
Nygard’s legal representation has undergone changes throughout his trial; his current attorney is seeking a six-year sentence, despite the prosecution's recommended 15 years.
Following his conviction, and with already served time accounted for, Nygard may be eligible for parole in around 27 months, even as he faces serious US trafficking charges.
