"Napping can absolutely help you recover from poor sleep the previous night," said Dr. Michael Breus. Data shows short naps can boost alertness, as even a seven-minute nap has been proven effective.
The CDC warns of chronic health issues from lack of sleep, suggesting 7-9 hours nightly. Dr. Breus advises against late caffeine, exercising before bedtime, and alcohol close to sleep for stress management.
