I've built software businesses around problems I understood and experienced in the past. That's always been my approach: find challenges in the communities I was already in. One such business is PermanentLink, which creates permanent links for authors to use books to always work, linking to the intended site or an archived version. That's a problem I personally had and found a lot of other writers struggling with.
If you want to have audio-centric conversations with listeners, viewers, customers, or peers, the tools in the market are pretty limited. Many podcasts that want their listeners to send in messages have resorted to asking their listeners to "record a voice memo and email that over."
