DC's 2024 Michelin Star Restaurants Announced

On Monday night, the Michelin Guide awarded one star to two new DC-area restaurants, the plant-based Mita and sushi destination Omakase @ Barracks Row, recognizing their culinary excellence.
Oyster Oyster in Shaw, previously a one-star restaurant, received a bonus 'green star' for sustainability, highlighting the growing importance of eco-friendly practices in the culinary world.
The Michelin Guide also made notable changes to its star ratings, downgrading Pineapple and Pearls and Maydan, while keeping Virginia's Inn at Little Washington at the top with three stars.
Chef Carlos Delgado won the Michelin Young Chef Award this year, while Tail Up Goat's Jill Tyler was recognized with the Outstanding Service Award for her exceptional hospitality.
