Epic Games is overhauling Fortnite's progression by transitioning to an XP-based system across all passes, eliminating Festival points and Lego studs starting with the new Music pass.
After Chapter 6 begins, new passes will adopt a single track format combining paid and free items, moving away from the previous 11-tier template to simplify player progression.
Chapter 6 will also end the option for buying levels. Instead, players can purchase specific items after acquiring the pass, streamlining the unlocking process significantly.
Despite the changes, Fortnite passes will still have an end date, meaning players must engage with them before the season concludes to earn associated rewards.
