Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, Don't Nod's latest supernatural teen drama, brilliantly interweaves past and present storylines. Set in the mid-90s, we follow Swann, a socially awkward high schooler, as she forms bonds with three other girls in Velvet Cove, Michigan. Together, they navigate adolescence through friendship, confrontation with bullies, and music, creating a punk band and a secret hideout in an abandoned cabin. The game successfully evokes nostalgia reminiscent of the original 'Life Is Strange,' promising an engaging narrative as players connect with the emotional dynamics and personal growth of the characters.
Swann is one of the most compelling video game leads I've played in a while. She's awkward, but spirited and passionate. All of that comes through in the dialogue choices you're given with her.
Lost Records follows a group of four girls in a fictional small Michigan town called Velvet Cove during the mid-90s. They create a punk band together and confront a local bully.
