Hi-Rez Studios has reportedly laid off 50-60 employees across various departments, including design, QA, and marketing. This decision led to the cessation of development on Rogue Company, Paladins, and Smite 1, although their servers will remain operational. CEO Stewart Chisam communicated that these layoffs would help to streamline efforts and ensure a consistent release of new content for Smite 2, which is the sole focus of the studio moving forward. This is the second round of layoffs for Hi-Rez in recent months.
