Oblivion Remastered just got the mod I never knew I wanted: an Elden Ring-style player message system so you can leave weird notes about Skooma everywhere
Briefly

The recently released 'Ghosts of Tamriel' mod for Oblivion Remastered enables players to leave interactable messages throughout Cyrodiil, similar to the system in Elden Ring. Developed by modders Yamashi and Jay-jay, the project builds on their prior experience with multiplayer modding projects. The process involves finding a location, composing a message, and sending it, with messages appearing as floating Welkynd Stones for other players to read. Despite concerns over immersion, the feature aligns with Oblivion's whimsical character and enriches player interaction.
Using all of that experience and the Oblivion Remastered script extender, they've taken just a week and a bit to put together this Oblivion mod that lets you "share wisdom in game with other players via interactable messages".
We use your character's name in addition to your message, Yamashi wrote, None of the data sent to the server is logged, it only exists in memory for the lifetime of the message.
