Katsuhiro Harada, the Tekken development chief, expressed a long-standing dream of having Colonel Sanders from KFC in the game, but KFC showed a lack of interest.
During a direct meeting with KFC's head office in Japan, Harada felt unwelcome, receiving what he called a 'bad look' when proposing the character's inclusion.
Harada revealed that fans have jokingly requested a Waffle House stage in Tekken, but acquiring permission from Waffle House would require their cooperation as well.
Despite past discussions about a KFC crossover, Harada noted that KFC wasn't receptive, indicating that blending such distinct brand characters into a game is complicated.
