GTA Vice City: Next-Gen Edition Mod Looks Amazing, But Might Not Be Around Long
Briefly

Revolution Team has released the GTA Vice City Nextgen Edition mod, bringing Vice City's content into the GTA IV engine. Despite Take-Two Interactive's attempts to halt the project, the mod is now available for standalone play, having initially required players to own GTA IV. The group faced challenges, including having their YouTube channel deleted just before the mod's release. However, they have created a new channel to showcase the mod, highlighting their dedication after two years of development work. Another mod, the Liberty City Preservation Project, faced a friendly takedown by Rockstar, showcasing the complexities in modding and developer relationships.
Our team's channel was deleted by Take-Two Interactive two days before the project's release. A lot of time and effort was invested into its development, including hundreds of hours of streaming.
The teaser gained over 100,000 views in less than a day. Unfortunately, it's absolutely impossible to restore it. We were forced to create a new channel, but it's unlikely that this trailer will reach the people who were truly waiting for it.
This isn't a DMCA, rather a friendly takedown, mutually agreed upon by all parties involved. There is no negativity between us and Rockstar Games/Take-Two Interactive.
Now, that requirement has been dropped, and the mod can be downloaded and played as a standalone game. As always, though, you should be careful about what you download online.
