Two masked gunmen are on the loose following a violent robbery at a grocery store in Washington Heights, Manhattan. The incident occurred early on March 6 when the suspects displayed firearms and robbed two men, injuring a 44-year-old man with a pistol whip. The duo fled the scene after stealing cash and property. The wounded victim is currently in stable condition at a local hospital. Police are investigating and have released surveillance images to help identify the suspects, who are described as young males with distinctive clothing.
The NYPD released images on Saturday morning of the suspects behind the heist at 3770 Broadway in Washington Heights on March 6 at about 5:49 a.m.
During the robbery, police said, one of the suspects pistol-whipped the 44-year-old man, causing a contusion, bruising, and swelling to the head.
The suspects fled the scene on foot northbound on Broadway toward West 157th Street.
EMS rushed the wounded man to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital in stable condition.
