Open AD's recent project, UZV, blends traditional Latian architecture with modern aesthetics in a family home. Its exterior, with gray wooden slabs and a unique roofline, is complemented by large windows for openness. Built within coastal building restrictions, the house utilizes existing foundations and harmonizes with its pine forest location. The interior features a kitchen positioned as a gathering space with a classic chimney and a layout designed for fluidity, showcasing natural materials like CLT panels and glued pine for a rustic yet modern atmosphere.
The unique architectural integration at UZV harmonizes traditional Latvian elements within a contemporary design, creating a functional yet visually captivating family residence.
The kitchen, central to the home’s layout, reflects historical significance with its large chimney, rooted in traditional Latvian heritage and modern functionality.
