OKLCH()
Briefly

The recent State Of The Browser event highlighted the significance of the OKLCH color space in CSS, as discussed by Manu. Despite being well-supported in browsers, design tools like Figma lag behind, leading to frustration among designers relying on hex values. However, the oklch() function in CSS allows conversion from hex, making its advantages accessible in practice. This flexibility aids developers in adapting color based on user preferences, adding layers of functionality that resemble aspects of functional programming, showcasing the versatility of modern CSS.
It's a shame that OKLCH isn't (yet) in design tools like Figma, so designers are still handing over mock-ups with hex values.
The oklch() function allows the conversion of hex colours to lightness, chroma, and hue, enabling more flexibility in CSS.
