The Flinders University Health and Medical Research Building (HMRB) integrates the landscape of Adelaide Hills into its design, inspired by local geological features. Designed along a pedestrian route, it reflects the region’s historical contours while incorporating significant Kaurna landmarks through collaborative efforts with Indigenous representatives. The structure offers a central public space with meeting rooms and a café while promoting interaction through a central staircase. Natural light and green spaces enhance the interior environment, with Indigenous art embedded within the building's design, reinforcing its connection to cultural narratives and community engagement.
