Police arrested 40-year-old Xiaojie Zhang of Union City in connection with the non-fatal shooting of a 17-year-old boy on Talavera Drive in San Ramon. The shooting occurred about 6:18 p.m. Sunday and the victim was treated and released for a shoulder wound. Zhang was being held on suspicion of attempted murder in lieu of $1 million bail at the Martinez Detention Center. Authorities have not provided a motive. Officers served a search warrant at Zhang's home and recovered two firearms. Police said the suspect and victim know each other but would not describe the exact relationship.
