Taking place at the City Center Bishop Ranch, the event invites both pets and their owners to don outfits and strut their stuff for the amusement of the general public. The championship finale of the Beer City Half Northern California Series will feature $5,000 in prize money and a full day of fresh beer in San Ramon on Sunday, Oct. 26. Sunday's festivities start early, as runners will take off at 8:30 a.m. to participate in a half marathon, 10K and a 5K along scenic routes around the 2.5-mile loop on Annabel Lake and parts of the 32-mile Iron Horse Trail. The winner of the half marathon will receive something known as the Golden Growler. Runners will cross the finish line and head straight to the Beer City Festival, which calls itself a "traveling beer circus" that is spending the weekend in San Ramon showcasing the East Bay's top craft beers, live music, games and food.

Multiple people wearing masks and brandishing handguns ran into Heller Jewelers at the City Center Bishop Ranch shopping mall at 6000 Bollinger Canyon Road at around 1:50 p.m. Footage from the scene shows the robbers using tools, including a hammer, a tire iron and a pick axe, to smash glass countertops so they could pull out merchandise in a "takeover-style armed robbery," according to police.

Owner Theresa Schreiber emphasized the importance of retaining the restaurant's essence while making cosmetic improvements, creating a bright and welcoming atmosphere without altering the original layout.

The fire broke out at the Harlan House, which is one of the oldest houses in San Ramon, according to a social media post from the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District.
