Why don't you see more James Baldwin works on the big screen?
Briefly

James Baldwin was arguably the most evocative Black writer of his generation and a powerful advocate for marginalized characters in the 20th century. His true passion lay in storytelling, as evidenced by his seven novels, two plays, numerous short stories, and screenplays.
While If Beale Street Could Talk gained recognition through its 2018 adaptation, Baldwin's other works like Go Tell It on the Mountain, Giovanni's Room, Blues for Mister Charlie, and Another Country also hold significant potential for the big screen.
