"No better place than the Minnesota State Fair," he wrote on the social platform X, highlighting his excitement for the event as Vice Presidential nominee.
"I've traveled to a lot of state fairs. While Iowa has a nice one, it does not compare with Minnesota. And the pork chops here - the best," he stated, promoting Minnesota's unique food culture.
Walz recognized that his presence might disrupt the usual flow of the fair, but stressed it was an opportunity to showcase Minnesota on a national stage.
"I think people are seeing that we're getting to talk about Minnesota across the country, talk about the economy here, talk about things like the state fair, talk about agriculture," Walz emphasized regarding the visibility of his state.
