As of November, just 106 laws were enacted, less than a third of the 365 enacted laws by the preceding, 117th Congress, highlighting Congress's low productivity.
It's a pretty low bar ... the 118th Congress really only managed to reach agreement on the must-pass measures, raising questions about future productivity.
The next Congress will face urgent questions including addressing the reinstated U.S. debt ceiling on January 2, with significant implications for the economy.
Lawmakers will also need to address the expiration of the temporary funding bill and consider extending the tax cut package from the last administration.
