Starbucks baristas' 'strike before Christmas' has reached hundreds of U.S. stores
Briefly

Starbucks Workers United announced that over 300 stores are participating in what it calls the largest unfair labor practices strike in Starbucks' history, demanding a fair contract.
The union claims the strike is a response to Starbucks backtracking on its commitment to negotiate a foundational framework for collective bargaining.
Starbucks noted that even though approximately 60 stores were closed due to the strike, 97-99% of their locations nationwide remained operational.
The union is calling on customers to boycott Starbucks stores during the strike and to support workers by joining picket lines.
