The warning issued Tuesday covers more than 374,000 Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles and nearly 83,000 Mazdas, advising not to drive due to dangerous Takata airbag inflators yet to be replaced.
The inflators can explode with too much force, potentially causing severe injuries or fatalities; 27 deaths in the U.S. and 35 worldwide associated with Takata inflators, leading to significant auto recalls.
