12 Recalls in 2 Years: The Tesla Cybertruck Is Breaking Records For All The Wrong Reasons - Yanko Design

The most I've ever heard of a car being recalled is probably 2014 Jeep Cherokee, or the 2021 Chevy Silverado. Both cars (if I'm not mistaken), were famous for hitting as many as 7-9 recalls, but Tesla 's Cybertruck is cruising past that number with its 12th recall since the car began rolling out to customers in November 2023. Issued just today, this latest round of recalls affects 6,197 vehicles, about 10 percent of all Cybertrucks sold.

Hyundai issues recall for more than half a million vehicles over faulty seat belts

Hyundai just issued two separate recalls on its Palisade and Ioniq 6 vehicles, totaling more than 600,000 cars that might not be road safe. The first recall, which constitutes the bulk of the total affected vehicles, is related to potentially faulty seat belts. The second is due to a defect on some electric models that could result in their charging port panels detaching on the road.

Ford's recall streak grows: 500,000 more vehicles pulled for brake defects

Ford Motor is recalling nearly 500,000 vehicles nationwide over a brake fluid leak. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration issued the safety notice noting a rear brake ruptured hose could cause fluid to leak, extending the distance required to stop the vehicle, thereby increasing the risk of a crash. This is the automaker's 105th recall of the year, a record for any automaker, which it happened to break in just the first six months of 2025.
