The pedestrian, described only as a woman, suffered critical injuries and was taken to a hospital, where she later died. The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. Preliminary information indicates the driver turned north from Bovet Road onto South El Camino and struck the pedestrian in the north crosswalk at 17th Avenue.
