Body of UNH student missing since November found in nearby town

The body of Alexis Garcia, a 24-year-old University of New Hampshire student missing since November 2024, was recovered from Little Bay in Newington. His disappearance was marked by police finding his unoccupied car at a rest area, indicating he had been missing for an extended period. Following an investigation, which ruled out foul play, Garcia was positively identified through evidence found with his body. Garcia, 24, was last seen on Nov. 21, 2024, in Durham, N.H. As they attempted to conduct a wellness check, police found his empty car parked at the Scammell Bridge rest area on Route 4.
