Last week, two men were indicted for damaging an ancient rock formation at Lake Mead National Recreation Area. The charges come after a video showed them toppling the rocks.
According to the indictment, on April 7, the men pushed large chunks of ancient rock formations over a cliff, causing more than $1,000 in damages.
The National Park Service sought public help in identifying the men shown in the video, which featured a young girl's concerned voice in the background.
Both defendants pleaded not guilty and were released on a personal recognizance bond, with a trial set for October, facing up to 10 years in prison.
