The recall emphasizes that while brakes will still function, the electronic stability control, crucial for managing throttle and brakes to prevent skidding, may shut down unexpectedly.
Stellantis clarified that they are unaware of any crashes or injuries linked to this software issue, underscoring the importance of compliance with U.S. safety standards.
Starting from October 3, letters will be sent to truck owners informing them about the recall, and dealers will offer a free software update to resolve the issue.
