The Supreme Court, located in a gothic-style building opposite Parliament, was established in 2005 following the Constitutional Reform Act to serve as the highest legal authority. Opened in October 2009, it is free for visitors and currently hosts an exhibition marking its 15th anniversary. This exhibition features stories of landmark rulings, including those affecting Uber drivers' rights, asylum issues, and parliamentary prorogation. These displays aim to provide context and understanding of the decisions made by the court, free from political bias.
Although it's only a series of display boards and you can read about all the judgements elsewhere, it's much more impactful to read them in the context of the court's significant role.
The Supreme Court often handles the most contentious issues, so you'll either nod your head in agreement with what they did or be extremely furious with them.
