Police make direct appeal to mother of baby found dead in field by dog walker
Briefly

Detective Chief Inspector Charlotte Whalley emphasized: "We know the baby's mum is somewhere out there, potentially watching this... we would appeal to anyone who may know the mum or had suspicions about her pregnancy to come forward so we can find her and speak to her." The police are committed to providing support irrespective of the circumstances surrounding the case.
Chief Superintendent Neil Blackwood stated: "At this stage, we are following several lines of enquiry... we are working with local partner agencies to understand who this baby could be, how long they have been here, and how they sadly died." He underscored the sensitivity and careful handling required in this investigation.
