Nadine Dorries has delayed formally resigning as an MP which threatens to prolong the agony of a series of tough by-elections for Rishi Sunak.The former culture secretary and Boris Johnson ally said on Friday she would step down from her Mid Bedfordshire seat with immediate effect, sparking a contest to replace her.
