Kilburn man, 50, found guilty of murdering his partner, 80, in her west London home
Briefly

Steven Clark, 50, was convicted of murdering his 80-year-old partner Ursula Uhlemann in her west London apartment. After a 999 call at 3am on March 20, paramedics found Uhlemann unresponsive and despite resuscitation attempts, she was pronounced dead shortly after. Investigations revealed inconsistencies in Clark's statements regarding his whereabouts, leading to his arrest. Victim's injuries suggested previous abuse by Clark, and a postmortem confirmed death from neck compression. DCI Wayne Jolley highlighted the tragedy of the case and appreciated the witnesses aiding the investigation.
Clark had consistently lied about his role in Ms Uhlemann's murder, denying any involvement whatsoever. I would like to thank the numerous witnesses who assisted investigators in building a picture of the events leading up to the killing.
Ms Uhlemann's life was taken in appalling circumstances. In light of Clark's conviction, our thoughts are with those that knew her.
