Nicholas Metson, 28, stabbed Holly Bramley, 26, at least four times before dismembering her and storing her body parts for a week. He convinced his friend Joshua Hancock to help move the remains to a river by offering him 50, trying to cover up the murder.
Prosecutor Gordon Aspden KC described Metson's actions as 'twisted and barbaric,' noting the excessive dismemberment of the victim. Metson initially denied the murder but later pleaded guilty.
