Boy and girl killed 80-year-old dog walker in cowardly, violent' park attack
Briefly

Two teenagers, a boy aged 15 and a girl aged 13, were sentenced for the manslaughter of 80-year-old Bhim Kohli at Leicester Crown Court after a violent attack last September. Mr. Kohli, who suffered a broken neck and ribs, was assaulted in a park, while the girl filmed the incident. The court heard Mr. Kohli was in extreme pain when discovered by his daughter and later died in the hospital. The judge condemned the attack as cowardly, highlighting the senselessness of targeting an elderly man, and reflecting on the motivations of the attackers to impress each other.
"What you did was wicked. You made a cowardly and violent attack on an elderly man," said Mr. Justice Turner, emphasizing the heinous nature of the crime.
"He was in so much pain, he was screaming out. It was horrendous and we have never seen him like this,” recalled Susan Kohli about her father's suffering.
