Afghan commandos were employed by UK despite denial, minister says

The Ministry of Defence review confirmed that Afghan special forces soldiers, previously denied relocation, were employed by the UK, altering the path for 2,000 applications.
Armed forces minister Luke Pollard stated that due to campaigning MPs and investigations, new evidence shows that Afghan soldiers were directly employed by the UK government.
Many Afghan soldiers, denied the chance for relocation under Arap due to government denials, will now have their applications reviewed after evidence emerged.
Mr Pollard highlighted how approximately 25 percent of previously rejected applications from Afghan special forces are expected to be overturned, allowing them to relocate.
