Tor Alva, or the White Tower, stands in Mulegns, Switzerland as the tallest 3D-printed structure, launched on May 20, 2025. This 30-meter tower, designed by architects Benjamin Dillenburger and Michael Hansmeyer through the collaborative efforts of the Origen cultural foundation and ETH Zurich, serves as a venue for various cultural events. Featuring 32 twisting, hollow columns, the tower incorporates advanced 3D printing technology, specifically soft concrete, allowing unique architectural forms and sustainability. Set to open for artistic events in July 2025, Tor Alva aims to enrich the cultural landscape against the scenic backdrop of the Julier mountain range.
