Delta Air Lines moved ahead of American Airlines and United Airlines as the preferred U.S. carrier for future ticket purchases among American travelers. Delta also ranked No. 1 for quality and delivered the highest satisfaction among current and former travelers, outperforming American, United, and Southwest. YouGov described the results as a strong year for Delta, citing progress in entering consumer consideration and maintaining strength. Despite Delta’s gains, several foreign carriers led overall customer satisfaction, including Emirates, Singapore Airlines, and Qatar Airways, with only Alaska Air and Hawaiian Airlines among U.S. carriers in the top 10. The YouGov findings are based on a survey of more than 23,000 consumers and add to Delta’s recent JD Power performance across multiple cabin segments.
"Even so, American travelers have taken a liking to foreign carriers, with Emirates, Singapore Airlines, and Qatar Airways topping the ranking of airlines for customer satisfaction. Only two U.S. carriers- Alaska Air and Hawaiian Airlines -made the top 10. Still, the YouGov results, which are based on a survey of more than 23,000 consumers, are yet another feather in the cap for Delta."
