"We are pleased that our networks have been restored in time for fans to enjoy the many great programming options this weekend, including college football,"
"Subscribers should see channels including ABC, ESPN and FX returning to their service over the course of the day, as well as any recordings that were previously in their Library,"
"We apologize for the disruption and appreciate our subscribers' patience as we negotiated on their behalf."
Disney and YouTube TV finalized a deal to restore Disney-owned channels including ABC, ESPN, Freeform, and FX to YouTube TV subscribers. The channels had been removed from YouTube TV on October 30, creating the longest recent carriage dispute and far exceeding the 11-day Charter dispute in 2023. Senior executives including Disney Entertainment co-chairmen Alan Bergman and Dana Walden and ESPN Chairman Jimmy Pitaro were involved in praising the resolution. YouTube indicated that channels and previously recorded programs would return over the course of the day and apologized for the disruption.
