Software Engineers Promise $10K If You Help Them Find Work | Entrepreneur
Briefly

A software engineer, Argenis De La Rosa, went viral after offering $10,000 to anyone who could help him secure a six-figure job. He intended to create a contract ensuring that once he secured a job and started earning, he would pay back the amount owed in increments. This unconventional approach attracted significant attention and other job seekers, like Ryan Prescott, followed suit by offering similar arrangements. Prescott's post specifically sought positions with salaries above $120,000, further highlighting this new approach to job hunting.
"When I get paid, you get paid," De La Rosa wrote in a LinkedIn post with over 400 reactions. "It's that simple."
De La Rosa told Business Insider that he received "nonstop" messages from interested people in the first 24 hours after he posted.
The only difference between the posts is that Prescott asked more specifically for a software developer role paying at least $120,000, not just for a six-figure salary.
Ryan Prescott's LinkedIn post went viral when an X user screenshotted it and posted it on X, gathering 1.6 million views.
