At 10, USB-C still hasn't lived up to its full potential
Briefly

Nearly ten years ago, Apple introduced the MacBook with a single USB-C port, igniting hope for a universal charging standard. USB-C promised to replace multiple connectors across devices, streamlining our electronic lives. As of today, most of my gadgets use USB-C, enhancing my efficiency. No longer do I struggle with multiple cables, especially after ditching cumbersome connectors like Micro-USB. The newfound convenience is palpable, as I even keep a USB-C cable handy for faster photo transfers, proving its superiority over wireless options, despite some persistence of proprietary chargers in the marketplace.
USB-C has been a huge advance for my productivity—not just over previous forms of USB but also even earlier technologies whose connectors look comically oversized and clunky.
I could always move them over via Wi-Fi, but USB-C remains much, much faster and more reliable.
