Perplexity CEO Aravind Srinivas addressed concerns about the company's financial stability in a recent Reddit post, assuring users of its steady growth and lack of immediate cost-cutting measures. Responding to rumors of potential financial trouble, Srinivas highlighted the company’s innovative Auto mode as a streamlined user experience solution, moving away from cluttered interfaces prevalent in AI tech. He confirmed that Perplexity has sufficient funding and is not considering an IPO until after 2028, underscoring its long-term growth strategy.
"The user shouldn't have to learn so much to use a product," he said.
"We have all the funding we've raised, and our revenue is only growing."
Srinivas said Perplexity created Auto mode because "all AI products right now are shipping non-stop and adding a ton of buttons and dropdown menus and clutter, which is not sustainable."
He stated, "We have no plans of IPOing before 2028."
