Volvo Trucks claims its next-generation electric heavy-duty big rig will be capable of delivering up to 373 miles, double the current model's estimate of up to 186 miles.
With the extended range, the company claims its customers will be able to operate inter-regional and long-distance routes for a full day without having to recharge.
Roger Alm, President of Volvo Trucks, emphasized that the new electric flagship will complement their range and enable zero-exhaust emissions transport for longer distances.
The new e-axle driveline technology and more efficient battery management system are crucial for enabling the significantly increased range of the upcoming electric semi.
