Nearly 200,000 Jeep plug-in hybrids can spontaneously catch fire and should be parked outdoors, Stellantis warns owners
Briefly

Jeep is recalling over 194,000 plug-in hybrid SUVs globally due to fire risks when the ignition is off, urging owners to refrain from charging and park them outdoors.
The recall affects the Wrangler four by e (2020-2024) and Grand Cherokee four by e (2022-2024), with most of the affected vehicles located in North America.
Stellantis reports a routine review of customer data led to an investigation revealing 13 fire incidents, prompting the recall of approximately 5% of the affected SUVs.
A remedy is in progress for the issue, and impacted customers will receive notifications to schedule service once it is available. Owners can also reach out to Jeep Customer Care.
