I took the same grocery list to Walmart and Target. Both chains had what I needed, but some of the price differences shocked me.

In my comparison between Walmart and Target for basic groceries, I found that Walmart consistently offered lower prices for staples like boxed mac and cheese and pasta sauce, allowing me to save almost $10 overall on my shopping trip.

I was surprised that while Target had a few cheaper items, the majority of my basic grocery needs were more economically met at Walmart, reinforcing my previous experience of significant savings compared to shopping at Trader Joe's.
