Wealdstone FC has appointed Neil Gibson as their new manager on a two-and-a-half-year deal following the departure of Matt Taylor. Gibson, 45, arrives with a successful management history, including winning multiple cups at Prestatyn Town. Currently, Wealdstone sits in the bottom four of the fifth tier, facing challenges with only five wins in 26 games. Gibson's first match will be against his predecessor, Matt Taylor, who joined Solihull Moors. Gibson's experience and vision are seen as pivotal in helping the club avoid relegation.
Gibson's appointment means former assistant manager Paul Hughes, who took interim charge of the team last Saturday, has left the club along with coach Peter Stanford.
Wealdstone are in the bottom four of the fifth tier, one point from safety and with only five wins in their 26 league games.
