Health officials halt food service at Bay Area Topgolf after sewage spill
Briefly

A sewage leak at a Topgolf location in San Jose has led to the temporary suspension of food service. The Santa Clara Department of Environmental Health found contamination in several food prep areas. The facility was closed for inspections, and it is required to dispose of affected food and sanitize equipment before resuming full operations. Although some areas can remain open, complete clearance is necessary for any food service to resume.
Several of the affected areas have had their food operations suspended until the establishment can provide all necessary professional cleaning and sanitation documentation to ensure all health and sanitation requirements have been addressed.
Topgolf has strict safety and cleanliness protocols that we immediately implemented in partnership with a professional cleaning service to address the situation.
