Doug Nussmeier is expected to take over as offensive coordinator for the New Orleans Saints following Kellen Moore's appointment as head coach. Nussmeier previously coached quarterbacks for the Philadelphia Eagles, aiding Jalen Hurts during their Super Bowl victory. His coaching background includes stints with the Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Chargers, and he has strong ties to Louisiana, having been drafted by the Saints in 1994. Moore plans to call the plays, while the Eagles have promoted Kevin Patullo to fill Nussmeier's prior role.
I think he's an outstanding coach who played the position at a very high level in the NFL and in big time college football.
I just think he's done a really nice job of coaching Jalen and coaching the other guys.
