The San Francisco 49ers plan to release defensive lineman Arik Armstead after both sides failed to work out a restructured contract, according to multiple reports.
He posted 27 tackles and five sacks during the 2023 regular season and added 11 tackles and one sack in the three postseason games with the 49ers this year.
