The San Francisco 49ers have placed wide receiver/returner Ray-Ray McCloud on injured reserve due to a rib injury. McCloud sustained the injury last week and missed the 49ers' Week 13 game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
The 49ers promoted veteran wide receiver Chris Conley to the 53-man roster from the practice squad on Saturday.
