"I was working and I heard a loud noise, and I just saw the crane collapse and I saw the guy just hitting the ground," Sergio Re told WHDH.
The incident happened near the River Bar, according to a WHDH report citing the Somerville Fire Department.
The outlet's news chopper captured video of the scene, which showed police tape around the truck and debris on the ground. The bucket of the truck appeared to be broken.
