San Francisco police officers responded around 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, to the area of Brookdale and Blythdale avenues, in the Sunnydale housing complex.

A 32-year-old San Francisco man was detained at the scene without incident, and a firearm was recovered, the police said.
The suspect was booked into San Francisco County Jail on suspicion of murder.
